couple of changes to their playing eleven – Yuvraj Singh and Abhimanyu Mithun
(Shar)made way for the Delhi duo of Virat Kohli and Ishant.
Sri Lanka made three changes to the eleven that last played the Indians – Thilina Kandamby, Farveez Maharoof and Muttiah Muralitharan made way for Thilan Samaraweera, Suraj Randiv and Dilhara Fernando.
On winning the toss, Kumar Sangakkara, Sri Lanka's skipper, chose to bat. Their openers didn’t get off the (Ku)mark. Upul Tharanga, who faced a ball, didn’t open his account. A ball into the match, he was dismissed by Praveen.
