Dhoni-led India WIn the series

The match was reduced to a 49-overs-a-side match. Neither India nor the West Indies made no changes to their playing eleven.

On winning the toss, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, India’s skipper, inserted the hosts, whose skipper, Chris Gayle, faced a couple of balls, failing to get off the (Shar)mark. A couple of dot balls into the match, he was caught by Dhoni off the bowling of Ishant.

Runako Morton and Ramnaresh Sarwan, who faced a dozen balls each, scored 22 apiece. They were unbeaten.

Forty-five balls into the match, play was called off owing to rain. India had conceded three extras at that point. The West Indies had scored 27 for the loss of a wicket at that point.

Ashish Nehra bowled 3.3 wicketless overs, including a maiden. He conceded nine. Ishant, who bowled four overs, conceded 17. He picked up the only wicket to fall.

India won the four-match series 2-1.
