a couple of changes to their playing eleven – Vinod Kambli and Robin Singh made
way for Rahul Dravid and One-day International debutant Reetinder Singh Sodhi.
Zimbabwe made three changes to the eleven that last played the Indians – the
Strang brothers (Paul and Bryan) and Pommie made (Mbang)way for Douglas
Marillier, Bryan Murphy and Henry Olonga.
On winning the toss, Heath Streak, Zimbabwe’s skipper, chose to bat. Marillier, whose 24-ball innings included a boundary, scored eight. Thirty-nine ballS(ach)into the match, he was caught by Tendulkar. Zaheer Khan broke the 27-run stand.
