It was
India's last One-day International for the season. They made just one change to
their playing eleven – Robin Singh made way for Yuvraj Singh. Australia made
three changes to the eleven that last played the Indians – Shane Lee and the
Damiens (Martyn and Fleming) made way Darren Lehmann, Andrew Symonds and Ian

V V S Laxman, whose 107-ball innings included 10 boundaries, scored 101. While his 50 – which included four boundaries – came off 64 balls, his century – which included 10 boundaries – came off 105 balls. Twenty balls later, he was caught by Gilchrist. Harvey broke the 18-run stand.
The fifth-wicket pair didn’t get off the mark. Hemang Badani, whose 14-ball innings included a boundary, had no reason to be in seventh heaven – the next ball, he was dismissed by Harvey.
