Dada-led India crush the Kenyans

India made just one change to their playing eleven – Shiv Sunder Das made way for Jacob Martin. Kenya (Moham)made three changes to the eleven that last played the Indians – Sheikh, Hitesh Modi and Lameck Onyango made way for the Obuya brothers (David and Collins) and Peter Ongondo.

Ravindu Shah, who faced half-a-dozen balls, didn’t get off the mark. A couple of overs into the match, Ajit Agarkar, the player of the match, broke the four-run stand. David, who faced half-a-dozen balls, didn’t get off the mark. A couple of overs later, Agarkar broke the one-run stand.

Sourav Ganguly, India’s skipper, bowled five wicketless overs, conceded 15. Harbhajan bowled five overs, including a maiden. He conceded 18, picking up a wicket.

Srinath bowled 7.1 overs, including a maiden. He conceded 13, picking up a couple of wickets. Kumble bowled 10 overs, including four maidens. He conceded 14, picking up three wickets. Agarkar bowled 10 overs, including a couple of maidens. He conceded 27, picking up four scalps.

Dasgupta, whose 32-ball innings included four boundaries, scored 24. He was unbeaten, as was Virender Sehwag, who scored 55. His 43-ball innings included 11 boundaries. Kenya conceded a dozen extras. India, who scored 91 without the loss of a wicket off 11.3 overs, won by 10 wickets with 38.3 overs to spare.

Tony, who bowled 1.3 overs, conceded 19. Martin bowled three overs, including a maiden. He conceded 19. Ongondo, who bowled three overs, conceded 16. Odoyo, who bowled four overs, conceded 37.
