change to their playing eleven for the opening match of the tournament played
to commemorate the diamond jubilee of the Cricket Association of Bengal –
Navjot Singh Sidhu made way for Woorkeri Raman.
Sri Lanka made a couple of Chan(dika)ges to the eleven that last played the Indians –Hathurusingha and Muttiah Muralitharan made way for Hashan Tillakaratne and Dulip Liyanage.
