India made three changes to their playing (Khale)eleven – Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav made way for Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ahmed and Jasprit Bumrah.
The West Indies made one change to the eleven that
last played the Indians – Devendra Bishoo made way for One-day International
debutant Fabian Allen.
On winning the toss, Virat Kohli, India’s skipper,
inserted the West Indies.
The first Powerplay of the West Indies’ innings –
which was the mandatory Powerplay – was between the first and the 10th
over. They scored 46, and lost a couple of wickets.
Four overs into the match, India sought a bowling
review. Chandrapaul Hemraj was the batsman. It was struck down by umpire
