Neither India nor New Zealand made any changes to their playing elevens.

The first Powerplay of India’s innings – which was the mandatory Powerplay – was between the first and the 10th over. They scored 53, and lost a wicket.

Shikhar Dhawan, whose 20-ball innings included three boundaries, scored 14. Thirty-seven balls into the match, he was caught by Williamson. Tim Southee broke the 29-run stand.

Trent Boult, who bowled 10 wicketless overs, conceded 81.

India eventually conceded 20 extras. New Zealand, who scored 331 for the loss of seven wickets off 50 overs, lost by half-a-dozen runs.

Pandya, who bowled five wicketless overs, conceded 47.

Axar Patel, who bowled seven wicketless overs, conceded 40.

Jadhav, who bowled eight wicketless overs, conceded 54.

Kumar, who bowled 10 overs, conceded 92. He picked up a wicket.

Chahal, who bowled 10 overs, conceded 47. He picked up a couple of wickets.

Bumrah, who bowled 10 overs, conceded 47. He picked up three scalps.
