India (Shar)made one change to their playing eleven – Ajinkya Rahane made way for Rohit.
England made just one change to the eleven that last
played the Indians – Craig Kieswetter made way for Jos Buttler.
On winning the toss, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, India’s skipper,
inserted the visitors.
The first Powerplay of England’s innings – which was
the mandatory Powerplay – was between the first and the 10th over.
They scored 37, and lost a wicket.
Ian Bell, whose 25-ball innings included a couple of
boundaries, scored 10. Fifty-eight balls into the match, he was caught by
Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Ishant Sharma broke the 37-run stand.
England scored 50 off 13.4 overs (82 balls). India had
conceded eight extras at that point.
Fifteen overs into the match, the first drinks break
was taken. England had scored 53 for the loss of a wicket at that point. While
Alastair Cook, their skipper, was batting on 33, Kevin Pietersen had scored a

Dernbach bowled 9.3 overs, conceding 59. He picked up
a wicket. Bresnan and Finn bowled 10 overs, including a maiden, each, picking
up a wicket apiece. While the former conceded 59, the latter conceded 39.
Tredwell bowled 10 overs, conceding 54. He picked up two scalps.
India led the five-match series 3-1. In fact, they won
the series with a match to spare.
