changes to their playing eleven – Ajay Jadeja, Venkatesh Prasad and
Venkatapathy Raju made way for Sanjay Manjrekar and a couple of One-day
International debutants Prashant Vaidya and Aashish Kapoor. Australia made
three changes to the eleven that last played the Indians – Michael Slater, Michael
Bevan and Craig McDermott made way for Greg Blewett, Ricky Ponting and Jo
Angel.
