Hirwani. The West Indies made just one – Winston Davis was replaced by Patrick
Patterson. On winning the toss, Ravi Shastri, India’s skipper, inserted the
West Indians.

Haynes, who faced 15 balls, scored five. Sanjeev broke the eight-run stand.
Phil Simmons, whose 22-ball innings included a couple of boundaries, scored 21.
He was trapped leg before wicket by Arshad Ayub, who broke the 47-run stand.
