India made a couple of changes to their playing eleven – Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravi Bishnoi made way for Washington Sundar and One-day International debutant Shahbaz Ahmed.
South Africa made three (Anri)changes
to their playing eleven – Temba Bavuma, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Lungi Ngidi made
way for Reeza Hendricks, Bjorn Fortuin, and Nortje.

Maharaj, South Africa’s skipper, chose to bat.
